Briançon & Mont-Dauphin: Fortress and City Vauban

Before reaching Briançon, you can stop at the Avantici Gap hotel, located just 1h30 from the famous Cité Vauban.

The Avantici hotel is also just 1 hour from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Fortress of Mont-Dauphin.

Located at 1326 meters above sea level, Briançon is the highest town in France. This city of art and history, fortified by Vauban in the 18th century, is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Briançon is also part of Serre-Chevalier, the most famous ski resort in the Southern Alps.
